Details of my photo shoots

Location:
For my front cover and double page spread, I used the photo studio we have in college with a plain white backdrop. One of the smaller images on the front cover was also taken in the studio with the same backdrop but the second photo was taken outside against a brick wall. The two smaller images on my double page spread were both taken at gigs I've been to in the past. The first photo was taken at Norwich Arts Center of a band called Peace and the second photo was taken at a college of music. The photo on my contents page is also a photo I've taken at a gig I've been to. The singer is called Jake Bugg and it was taken at Norwich UEA.

Props:
The prop I used for my main cover page photo was an empty bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey. Obviously I had to photoshop the picture to make it look like it had Jack Daniels in it otherwise the photo would have looked a bit silly. The way I done this is by getting a photo of some real whisky and and putting it behind the bottle and changing the opacity so it looks like the bottle is full. This was the only main prop I used but in the photos I took at the gigs I've been to, the band members are holding musical instruments so you could say they are all props.

Models:
My magazine double page spread was about a made-up singer called 'Jasmine'. Her music was heavily based on 80s influences and it sounded like retro music so this is why she was in an 80s magazine. For my main cover I wanted a single picture of her as it shows the audience exactly what my magazine focused on in that month. Jasmine also has a guitarist called 'Harry' and you don't find out about him until you read the double page spread so that is why I wanted a picture of both Jasmine and Harry together.
