Audience Research for a College Magazine

In order to create a college magazine I had to do some research which involved doing a questionnaire consisting of ten questions and asking ten different people around college. I got a mixture of results such as the most common favourite bands were alt-j, Arctic Monkeys and The Vaccines. This is more of an alternative/rock genre of music. I found out that clothes shops were the favourite shops and most people either buy NME or Kerrang, both music magazines. Also, people would be willing to pay around £0.50-£1.50 for the magazine, but they wouldn't subscribe and they think there should be one magazine a month. They would also prefer if the magazine was more informal than formal. This is what people spent the majority of their money on:

If I could do my questionnaire again, I would make the answers more specific, so instead of asking people what their favorutie bands are, I could ask them what their favourite music genre is. I would also eliminate the question 'What college information would you like in the magazine' as this is a very open question and the answers could have quite a big range. Or I could pick different categories like 'exam preperation' and 'college sport' and ask them what type of category they would prefer to read about. I would also ask the question 'What do you like to do in your spare time' as you can find out a lot about the audience with this question but I would have to make sure they picked from certain categories like 'working' or 'out with friends' as the answers they could give me could range from anything.
